It goes without saying that there have been some challenging elements to the beginning of 2025. We are grateful that the situation in Los Angeles County has begun to stabilize and we are looking forward to the semester ahead.

It has been a busy few weeks between fall break and winter break! As we head into this winter break and the holiday season, I wanted to highlight some events that embody our mission and vision, and showcase our remarkable community.
October 2024 Updates at Valley Charter: Academic Progress, Family Events, and Community Highlights
We are one quarter of the way into the school year and we have already had so many academic experiences aligned to the VCS mission and vision, as well as many shared experiences designed to have and to build community at each school.
May 2024 at VCS: Culminations, Field Trips, and Fundraising Milestones
Time has flown by since spring break. We can’t believe we are headed into the final weeks of the 2023-2024 school year! As culminations are around the corner, we are enjoying all of our last moments with our 5th and 8th graders before they take their next steps.
Before you read on for updates and information specific to Valley Charter, I wanted to point out that May 17th marked the 70th Anniversary of Brown vs. Board of Education, the landmark legislation that declared the “separate but equal” doctrine unconstitutional and launched a new era for public education in America.
