Dear VCS Community,
We are excited to share our new Valley Charter School’s website and our updated logo! The big goals of this redesign are:
- Present a cleaner, more professional, and organized “face” of Valley Charter to the outside world
- Create an improved user experience for current and prospective families
- Help us begin to externally establish the K-8 identity that is part of our organizational goals.
A couple of changes and features to highlight:
- We created a Valley Charter Schools website that houses the K-8 information and documents (previously the VCS site was just a place to click onto either school website and had no content). From this VCS website, a visitor can choose to also go to a VCES or VCMS landing page under the “our schools” link at the top of the page. From there you will be able to find school-specific information.
- We now have google calendars you can subscribe to in order to put school events on your calendar and get reminders:
- There is a Valley Charter Schools Calendar you can subscribe to from the main website page which will share important dates and times for VCS-wide events (e.g., board meetings, talent shows, etc.)
- Embedded in each school’s landing page there is a school-specific calendar that you can also subscribe to for VCES or VCMS events.
- We have updated the original VCS logo and kept the original colors. We will be systematically changing over all the places where the logo still exists (such as letterhead, signs, etc.). This may take a while, but we do have a plan.
A big shout out to Alex Farivar, a new VCS board member, who helped get this work set up and Angie Saldivar, parent and long-time board member, who did a HUGE amount of content migration and design work on the back end to be able to make this happen. Many, many thanks to both.

Estamos emocionados de compartir nuestro nuevo sitio web de Valley Charter Schools y nuestro logotipo actualizado! Los grandes objetivos de este rediseño son:
- Presentar una “cara” más limpia, más profesional y organizada de Valley Charter al mundo exterior
- Crear una experiencia de usuario mejorada para las familias actuales y potenciales
- Ayúdenos a comenzar a establecer externamente la identidad K-8 que forma parte de nuestros objetivos organizativos.
Un par de cambios y características para resaltar:
- Creamos un sitio web de Valley Charter Schools que alberga la información y los documentos de K-8 (anteriormente el sitio de VCS era solo un lugar para hacer clic en el sitio web de cualquiera de las escuelas y no tenía contenido). Desde este sitio web de VCS, un visitante puede elegir también ir a una página de destino VCES o VCMS bajo el enlace “nuestras escuelas” en la parte superior de la página. A partir de ahí usted será capaz de encontrar información específica de la escuela.
- Ahora tenemos calendarios de Google a los que puede suscribirte para poner eventos escolares en su calendario y recibir recordatorios:
- Hay un calendario de Valley Charter Schools al que puede suscribirse desde la página principal del sitio web que compartirá fechas y horas importantes para eventos de VCS (por ejemplo, reuniones de la junta directiva, programas de talentos, etc.)
- Integrado en la página de destino de cada escuela hay un calendario específico de la escuela al que también puede suscribirse para eventos de VCES o VCMS.
- Hemos actualizado el logotipo original de VCS y hemos mantenido los colores originales. Cambiaremos sistemáticamente todos los lugares donde todavía existe el logotipo (como membrete, signos, etc.). Esto puede tomar un tiempo, pero tenemos un plan.
Un gran grito a Alex Farivar, un nuevo miembro de la junta de VCS, que ayudó a configurar este trabajo y Angie Saldivar, padre y miembro de la junta directiva de largo tiempo, que hizo una GRAN cantidad de trabajo de migración y diseño de contenido en puertas traseras para poder hacer que esto suceda.
